Road trips are awesome. They are a great way to see and explore more than if you were to fly. Factor in Stops 

Although you’re going to want to get to your destination as quickly as possible, it is incredibly important to take regular breaks from driving and travelling. The most important reason for this is allowing both the driver and the passages to stretch their legs and breve and some fresh air. Driving when tired is one of the biggest causes of road traffic accidents, so make sure the driver gets enough food and caffeine to keep going during the trip. If there are two drivers in the car, then make sure to switch every so often so that each driver gets adequate rest.


Take Changes of Clothes 

If you’re going on a long trip, you are likely to have outfits packed for every member of the family for your trip. However, it can be a bit of a hassle to have to go into the boot of your car to pull out changes of clothes should somebody get sick or too hot in the clothes they are wearing. Have a backpack in the main body of the car so that everybody has at least a change of T-shirt so they are comfortable. 

Bring Entertainment 

Let’s face it, even if you’re seeing the most exciting things en route, being on the road for a long time can be really boring. Pack some entertainment for the kids to play with so they don’t get bored and irritable. Consider some road trip games such as I Spy or a bingo game where everybody has to sport different things along the way. Before your trip, consider asking every family member what songs they would like to have played at some point about the trip. This way everybody gets to hear some music that they enjoy and that there are no arguments about what is being listened to!

Take Snacks 


Everything’s better with snacks- especially the times that you’re stuck in the car. Taking healthy snacks with you on a road trip can help to alleviate boredom. Fruit pots and rice cakes are great snack foods as they are fuss free and kids are less likely to be struck down by car sickness during the drive.
