If you’re looking to reduce your monthly outgoings so you can spend more on the fun stuff then ways to save money on loo roll will give you a head start.
It’s likely you’ve looked at your grocery costs recently and are wanting to trim it back where you can. If you’re anything like me though, you’d rather save on the boring stuff so you can still treat yourself to a nice bottle of wine or a fancy jar of coffee. And there’s nothing more boring than loo roll!
So here are my top ways to save money on loo roll:
- Buy in bulk online from Groupon. Not only will you save money per sheet but you’re saving on fuel for your car to get to the supermarket too! I get this deal from Groupon and I just need a couple of deliveries per year. Sometimes they sell out so you just click on ‘similar deals’ and they’re just as good. On top of their great prices they usually have an extra welcome offer for new customers. This is the current one:

- Squash your loo roll! This stops the roll from freely spinning and thus pulling off more than actually required. Particularly useful if you have little ones who have a tendency to get carried away!
- Save the tokens. If you can’t drop your big brands like Andrex, then save the tokens on them for free toys or enter their competitions. I’ve got an Andrex puppy as old as me! They make lovely new baby gifts without you having to spend extra.
- Sell your rolls. Yes, there really is a market for everything! But its not weird – imagine primary school teachers wanting them for crafts, parents wanting to make homemade Christmas crackers etc. So grab a box and start filling it as you go. Bonus is they’re nice and light so postage won’t cost you the Earth either.
