The Polar Express, Wensleydale, Yorkshire Dales

christmas days out Yorkshire

29th November – 23rd December 2019.

Train times are: 1:40pm, 3:10pm, 4:40pm, 6:10pm, 7:40pm

Your journey begins just like the 2004 Motion Picture where The Polar Express will pick you up to take you to the North Pole. You will get to meet all the characters from the film including the conductor, the singing chefs, the hobo and of course the main man himself Father Christmas.

Your family, hopefully dressed in PJs, will experience and fun filled theatrical adventure as you make your way to the North Pole. Throughout your journey you will tangle with the Caribou, see the magic of the Northern Lights and have the story of The Polar Express told you by the singing Chefs.

Santa will join you and, if you are on the nice list, hand you your first gift of Christmas, a Silver sleigh Bell just as in the Motion picture. You will get to speak with Santa and he may even sign your Polar Express Book available to purchase with your tickets.

Once you arrive back at the station you will get to experience Santa’s Workshop where you can write a letter to Santa.

ThriftyMum top tip: carriages have seating arranged in 4’s around a table, if you do not book your tickets in multiples of 4 due to high demand for seats it is possible you will not be sat together with your family around a table. I recommended booking early, otherwise you’ll need to purchase tickets in even quantities
